Taken by Robert CraisIn Taken by Robert Crais, the police tell a woman that her daughter has been kidnapped, she assumes that the girl ran away to elope with the boyfriend that her mother loves to hate. She sees an article about “The World’s Greatest Detective” and hires Elvis to find her daughter and stop her from making a mistake that will ruin her life. Elvis has a suspicion that the kidnapping is no fake and calls Joe to help him find the girl and her boyfriend … the pair of whom have been caught up in a plot where people are stolen from those paid to bring them to the U.S. and held for ransom. The boy has influential ties and thankfully the kidnappers have yet to realize those ties. When Elvis goes undercover, he is kidnapped as well, and it’s up to Joe Pike to find him before it’s too late.

Welcome to RabidReaders.com!

Over the last five years, I’ve read 1,026 books. Some I’ve loved; some I’ve liked; some I’ve hated … and once I had a nice little bonfire in the sink in the symbolic expression of displeasure over the horrible, horrible main character. I read all genres except those with a religious, inspirational or self-help angle (exceptions are made for self-help if there’s a heavy dose of humor).

We’ll make a deal that I will be honest in every aspect of my reviews, but I am human and cannot help, but fangirl certain authors. I do have a self-awareness of who these authors are and will give you the heads up so that you can read them and fangirl (or boy) with me. Mostly, I’m going to have fun, and I hope that you have fun reading my reviews. Please also join Rabid Reader’s Reviews on our Facebook, Goodreads, Twitter @RabidReaders and Google+. I plan to post on Facebook daily and new reviews weekly. I also will run contests and keep you apprised of new releases. I will probably do a large number of mystery reviews but, as I said, I read everything so if I really like (or really don’t like it) you’ll be hearing about it.

Thank you for joining.
